Riverside High School gets therapy dog to help students

Riverside Campus students and staff recently welcomed a new member to the Painesville Township high school.Atlas, a certified therapy dog, hit the ground running. In only a couple of weeks the 1-year-old, small Austrian Shepherd has already had a positive impact on many.Intervention Specialist Jody Calhoun decided to have Atlas trained to help students with school anxiety, however she said he has far exceeded her expectations.

Willoughby teen killed in Cleveland shooting

A 17-year-old Willoughby boy has been identified as the victim of a suspected homicide in Cleveland. According to Cleveland police, the incident occurred about 11:40 a.m. Sept. 4. Officers responded to the area of 9823 Sophia Ave. for a report of a male being shot.
