A large crowd gathered to take in the "Disturbingly Informative : A Museum of Medical Mysteries" lecture by Mutter Museum educator Marcy Engleman at the McFaddin - Ward House Visitor Center Thursday. Engleman offered the audience a virtual tour of the Philadelphia-based museum's collection of medical anomalies, mysteries, and other macabre exhibit highlights, including a sample of Einstein's brain. The event is part of the McFaddin - Ward Museum's annual lecture series.

Damage, lack of jurors after Harvey delays trials

In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Harvey, jury trials have been postponed throughout Southeast Texas, with many pushed back until next year.
"It's just one of the repercussions of the hurricane that we don't think about," Jefferson County District Clerk Jamie Smith said.
In Orange County, where the courthouse was damaged and more than half the county flooded, all jury trials have been postponed indefinitely, and in Jefferson County, civil trials have been paused to make sure there are enough jurors for criminal cases.
