Beaumont EMS was called "to a male complaining of a gunshot wound" early Thursday morning, according to Beaumont Fire Captain Brad Penisson.

Demolition crews have begun tearing down the long vacant MacArthur Drive Shopping Center in Pinehurst. The outlet, which opened in the 1950's, is known as the first shopping center in Orange. Plans to build an HEB store at the site are still in the works as to the type of store that will be built, but construction is expected to begin by late 2018.
