Pastor among 140 busted in Texas prostitution sting

A Houston pastor was among the 140 men arrested in a 10-day prostitution sting at a massage-parlor-turned-brothel on Westheimer.

 

Silo death and fire spur lawsuits

German Pellets Texas, whose smoldering silos caused health and air quality issues in Port Arthur for more than two months this spring, is facing its second and third legal challenges related to the incident, including a wrongful death suit from the family of a worker killed while working at the silos last week.
The family of Jesus Cuevas, who died on Oct. 20 while removing pellets from one of the company's silos at the Port of Port Arthur, alleges that the company's negligence caused his death.

Actors dressed as the departed members of the Chambers family welcomed guests as they toured the historic 1906 mansion. Giglio Distributing Co., which partners with the society for the happy hour events, had seasonal craft beers as well as wine and other beverages available throughout the evening.
