Stars assistant coach Curt Fraser could have easily been seen as part of the problem last summer. When the Stars were reworking their coaching staff, Fraser’s work with the forwards could have been seen as lacking or his success on the power play could have been seen as not good enough, and he could have been out on the street looking for another job.But instead, general manager Jim Nill and head coach Ken Hitchcock saw a new vision for Fraser, and now the former head coach and longtime assistant is a key part of the Stars’ success this season.Fraser went from coaching the forwards and power play to being the eyes and ears of Ken Hitchcock in game preparation and in practice.
