- Eye-strain with new monitor - how did you deal with it? - [H]ard|ForumAgain Xor, you are presuming that users of computer displays who are experiencing eye fatigue must be doing something wrong, i.e, trying too hard to focus on text. Reality injection: I read paper just fine with no ill effects and without any conscious effort of focusing my eyes, whether it be a newspaper, paperback, textbook, magazine, whatever.
- 9800X3D Memory Overclocking - [H]ard|ForumYea can't find anything on safe temp limit for L3 but extrapolating from the thermal limit imposed on the 7800X3D I think it's a safe assumption of around 80C for this cpus hot silicon roof. I don't wanna learn the hard way as no replacement is readily available ATM.

- New AMD RDNA4 Performance Rumors - [H]ard|ForumWith the top RNDA 4 die cancelled, AMD has no reason not to push this thing as hard as they can, especially if the UDNA replacement isn’t coming until 2026. A mid-range die can perform surprisingly well when pushed (5700 XT, for instance). I’m a little skeptical of the claims that it will equal a 7900 XTX / 4080 in raster, though.
