Incidents FRIDAY, FEB. 8 Disorderly subject: 8:37 p.m., 700 block Harlow Road. A caller said an intoxicated man was sitting in front of the main doors of an elementary school. The caller said a camp was set up with blankets and a sleeping bag on the side of the school.

 

Hunnicutt keeps hold on butterfly title

It’s safe to say that Carlos Hunnicutt has a stranglehold on the 100-yard butterfly in the state of Oregon. The Springfield junior became a four-time state champion this past weekend when he claimed his third consecutive 100 butterfly title with a Class 5A-record time of 50.98 seconds.

The Springfield and Thurston High wrestling seasons will draw to an end this weekend at the OSAA state championship tournament held at Memorial Coliseum in Portland.
