Springfield police log April 26-May 2

Incidents FRIDAY, APRIL 26 Disorderly party: 7:30 p.m., 200 block West I Street. A caller said about eight teenagers were seen jumping off of a roof and onto a mattress. Police made an arrest after responding to the house.

 

Silke to host district meet

The Springfield Millers once again will play host to the Midwestern League district track and field meet next Wednesday and Friday at Silke Field where athletes will compete for qualifying spots at the OSAA Class 5A state championships later this month.

 

Ex-Colt keeps Vikings rolling

The Portland State softball team is back in the postseason once again. With sophomore Brittany Hendrickson leading the way, the Vikings are set to open the Big Sky Conference tournament this afternoon where they’ll face No. 3 seed Southern Utah in Pocatello, Idaho, for a 1 p.m. contest.
