Yoga class for kids offered at library Kids ages 6 to 11 are invited to enjoy a Yoga Class at the Springfield Public Library on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Certified instructor Brynne Blevins will help children explore movement in a playful and creative way. The program is free.

A caller said a man who purchased a refrigerator on Craigslist was refusing to leave an apartment complex, claiming he was “ripped off” and demanding his money back. 1Suspicious subject: 2:41 a.m., 21st and H streets.

 

Springfield ends home slate

Springfield will play its final regular season home football game of the season when the Millers face Midwestern League rival North Eugene for a 7 p.m. Friday contest. The Millers (4-2, 2-1 MWL) are coming off a nonconference victory over Hermiston last week.

Today’s issue of Springfield Extra will be its last. Springfield Extra debuted in 2007. Managing Editor Dave Baker said the decision to stop publication was a difficult one. “This special Springfield publication has been very popular with readers, but unfortunately it wasn’t working from a business standpoint,” Baker said.
