Sahdia Hargrove denied petition to reconsider sentence

MEDIA COURTHOUSE >> A Johnstown woman who pled guilty to third-degree murder in June for the May 2016 stabbing death of 34-year-old Howard L. West has been denied a petition to reconsider her sentence.Sahdia Hargrove, 30, West's girlfriend, was sentenced to 15 to 40 years in a state prison June 13 under the negotiated plea deal worked out by Assistant District Attorney Brian Doherty and defense counsel Shawn Page.

To the Times:Editor's Note: The following letter was received before the Upper Darby School Board delayed a vote on the tax break for the new hotel at the Drexelbrook.I read the article in Delco Times about the upcoming vote on the Drexelbrook tax exemption. I thought it was a fair article, but I wanted to provide some additional context to what should be a very significant vote for the financial future of Upper Darby:

Devour Desserts to open at former Viso's location

ASTON >> Huge bags of flour, sugar and other ingredients line the shiny metal shelves in the back of Devour Desserts. Owner Misty Solomon said that she is totally prepared and excited to launch the new bakery on Friday, Dec. 15.
