No go on shared use of building

Redmond city and Deschutes County cannot come to terms on sharing the city-owned Evergreen School building as a combined local government office building.At a joint meeting Thursday, the County Commission and City Council “agreed to disagree" on possibly doubling up in the building.Discussions about co-locating county services with a new Redmond City Hall have been ongoing for nearly two years.

 

Cyclist hit by car, injured

A woman on a bicycle was struck by a car Thursday morning, incurring nonlife-threatening head injuries, according to Bend Police.Laurel M. Brauns, 35, of Bend, was riding south on Northwest Broadway Street shortly before 11 a. m. when she apparently failed to stop at the stop sign at Northwest Colorado Avenue.
