Rep. Abdullah Hammoud introduces bill to help with concussion protocols in schools

State Rep. Abdullah Hammoud (D-Dearborn) has introduced House Bill 6274, which would amend the revised school code (PA 451 of 1976) to require that the Michigan Department of Education, in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, develop and allow schools to offer baseline testing for concussions.

Macomb County traffic fatalities up through end of April

The number of people killed in traffic accidents on Macomb County roads and highways is on the increase for the first four months of 2018, according to the county's Traffic Safety Association.The association said as of the end of April -- the most recent time period available -- 18 people have lost their lives, an 80 percent increase over the 10 people killed during the same time frame in 2017.
