Former State Police investigator pleads guilty to misdemeanor

MALTA — A former State Police investigator accused of lying to detectives about activity on his bank account, then later admitting that he was covering for the fact he was giving his mistress money to support her crack habit, has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor.Omar Snow — a 25-year veteran of the State Police who retired in late 2017 — pleaded guilty Jan. 17 in Malta Town Court to misdemeanor falsely reporting an incident and was ordered to pay $2,926 in restitution to Citizens Bank, according to the court clerk's office.

 

Governors of NY, NJ, Conn. plan lawsuit against Trump/GOP tax plan

Gov. Andrew Cuomo along with his counterparts in New Jersey and Connecticut say they will file a federal lawsuit against the recently passed federal income tax cut passed in December by Congressional Republicans and signed by President Donald Trump."There is a very strong argument that the bill is a fundamental violation of states' rights" Cuomo said in laying out the lawsuit during a phone conference Friday with fellow Democrats Phil Murphy and Dannel Molloy of New Jersey and Connecticut.
