Judge denies legal challenge against recalled Fall River mayor

NEW BEDFORD — A Bristol County Superior Court judge on Friday denied a temporary injunction sought by a group of Fall River taxpayers that challenged Jasiel Correia II’s ability to maintain his office as mayor.The lawsuit, filed by a group called Ten Citizens for Fall River, was ultimately asking that a permanent injunction be granted to stop Correia from reclaiming the office of mayor.
