Man arrested for allegedly robbing, injuring elderly man at Twin River Casino

LINCOLN — An 80-year-old man was robbed and injured at Twin River Casino Thursday afternoon, according to a news release. Police said the victim had been sitting near the suspect, identified as Richard Settipane, 21, of North Reading, Mass. Settipane asked the victim for a cigarette, then reached over and grabbed $600 in cash from the victim and fled the area. North Providence police looking for driver who struck police SUV

NORTH PROVIDENCE -- A driver struck a A North Providence police SUV, then took off in a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning, according to police.The officer didn’t suffer any injuries in the crash just off Mineral Spring Avenue on Tuscola Avenue. The police SUV was damaged, but not totaled in the crash. The damage was considered minor.Police still haven’t caught the hit-and-run driver, who was in a passenger car.
