Stolen Pickup Found But Juvenile Suspects Still At Large

KINGSPORT — The Ford Ranger pickup reported stolen Tuesday morning in Bloomingdale was located Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. on Adair Avenue in East Carters Valley. However, authorities are still seeking two unidentified juveniles suspected in the crime. According to a Wednesday afternoon news release from Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Andy Seabolt, police believe the juveniles also crashed a car into a utility pole on Bloomingdale Road before taking the pickup from a nearby driveway, where its owner had left it running to warm up. The female owner of the Ranger grabbed onto the vehicle in a failed attempt to stop the theft.
