Associated PressROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK — Rangers in Rocky Mountain National Park are trying to find a New York man who disappeared while hiking over a mountain road covered in snowdrifts. Rangers said they tried to talk Jay Starr Jr., who is from Cohoes, N.Y., from trying to hike over the Continental Divide in the park on Monday because he was not dressed for winter conditions. On Tuesday, park rangers on skis found him hiking on snow-covered Trail Ridge Road and he ran away. On Wednesday, two teams of rangers tried to find Starr and couldn't find him. Rangers and wildlife officers are now using vehicles with snow tracks to locate the man and so far have not been successful.
