KINGPSORT — Sullivan South High and Rock Springs Elementary schools dismissed at 9:30 a.m. Friday because of a power outage, but Friday night’s season-opening football game of Daniel Boone High at South is going on as scheduled. Sullivan County Director of Schools David Cox said the outage occurred because of a lightning strike to a transformer about 6:10 a.m., after buses already were on the road to school.
