GRAY — Angela Harris says no matter your preference, there is something for you at the Appalachian Heritage Quilters Sixth Annual Quilt Show. Harris is the co-chair of this year’s show.“The one thing we all love about quilting is that no matter what your style is — if you like the old, if you like the most modern, if you like to do handwork, if you like to do machine work — there is a place in quilting for you,” Harris said. This variety in style is what Harris believes has led to a whole new generation of quilters.“(Quilting) kind of died out during the 50s and 60s and then in the 70s had a big rebirth and is going strong right now,” she said.
