Nvidia has used the significant platform at CES 2025 to unveil its latest generation Blackwell graphics cards. The company’s CEO Jensen Huang made his presence felt, donning a snakeskin-design jacket instead of his typical leather jacket, but this presentation was about more than him. The new release of Blackwell GPUs has been long-awaited and with the world’s biggest tech show in Las Vegas providing the backdrop, the all-important details were displayed. This month will see the first tranche arrive with the RTX 50 series, priced at $549 for the RTX 5070 and a hefty price tag of $1,999 for the headline RTX 5090. From next month, users will also be able to obtain the mid-range RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 at $749 and $999, respectively. A laptop version of the desktop chips is anticipated to be available in March, starting at $1,299. At CES, Nvidia also announced the Cosmos AI platform for robotics.
