A tipster reveals some interesting information about a new film in development.

Variety reports that Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired film rights to Primeval , the ITV series that airs in the U.S. on BBC America and SCI FI Channel.

Paramount Pictures had estimated that the movie would make about $50 million for the weekend, but figured that strong reviews helped carry it to the bigger opening.

The film is done documentary style and tells the story of an alien race that comes to Earth for an unknown reason. They attempt to settle in South Africa but encounter fear, anger, and racism (speciesism?) from the locals.

The project has been in the works for years, and is due in just a few months, and almost nothing has been revealed to the salivating masses about James Cameron's sci-fi epic.

TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN is coming to theaters in just over 60 days, but the voice cast still isn't complete. Director Michael Bay has Leonard Nimoy in mind for a robot but is afraid to ask. Michael Bay...afraid? Can't be. Must be a doppleganger.
