"Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre introduced Ashton Kutcher as a new star of television's most popular comedy on Monday, and gained a measure of revenge against the departed Charlie Sheen in the process.

The fall 2011 TV season is upon us, and that means it's time to welcome back old favorites and discover something new. Paranormal and fantasy shows are hot tickets this year.

"All will be revealed," says the promo poster featuring stars Angus T. Jones, Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer for the new "Two and a Half Men" season. And on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Los Angeles, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler started to dish a little about Kutcher's new character on "Men."

CBS has landed a very familiar name, Ted Danson, to lead its most familiar drama, as the network tries to keep alive the one-time top show in television, "C.S.I."

Sources at CBS and NBC tell Scoop there's no way they're taking on a Charlie Sheen show; Deadline reports that ABC is out as well.

CBS says Scott Pelley will take over as its evening news anchor, starting on June 6. The network on Tuesday announced the expected selection of Pelley, the veteran "60 Minutes" reporter, to replace Katie Couric on the "CBS Evening News." Couric is pursuing a syndicated talk show, but hasn't said where she will be working next. The date for her final CBS broadcast has not been set.

Warner Brothers confirmed Thursday that it is attempting to bring back the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" without its original star, Charlie Sheen.
