CBS has landed a very familiar name, Ted Danson, to lead its most familiar drama, as the network tries to keep alive the one-time top show in television, "C.S.I."

He's back, baby. Days after the news of Arnold Schwarzenegger's love-child from an extramarital affair went public in May, he pulled out of all movie projects. But now, according to Deadline, the 63-year-old actor has reattached himself to the Western movie "Last Stand."

On Tuesday, it was announced that Colin Hanks would take a trip to Miami and enter the always dangerous orbit of blood splatter expert/serial killer/good guy Dexter Morgan. Now, his role on the Showtime hit has been revealed.

Walt Disney Pictures is in negotiations with actress Rachel Weisz for the Sam Raimi-directed “Oz: The Great and Powerful.” According to Deadline, the actress would play Evanora, the older and wicked sister of Theodora. The film is a prequel to “Wizard of Oz,” which revolves around the Oz’s arrival to a distant land and his encounters with the witches. Weisz was last seen in last year’s “The Whistleblower.” She has starred in several films including “The Lovely Bones,” “Definitely, Maybe,” “The Fountain,” and “The Mummy.” Other confirmed cast includes James Franco and Mila Kunis.

Dwayne Johnson, who can currently be seen in theaters in Fast Five , is set to star in and produce a biopic of black country music star Charley Pride, reports Variety .

It looks like Jessica Biel could be joining Colin Farrell and Bryan Cranston in the cast of the "Total Recall" remake.

The 'Terminator' star is also planning to headline the action film 'The Last Stand,' in which he'll play a small-town sheriff who must recapture a drug cartel leader before he crosses the border to freedom in Mexico. Korean director Kim Jee-Woon ('The Uninvited') will take the reins.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Amy Adams will star in the coveted role of Lois Lane in the new Zack Snyder-directed Superman feature film. Snyder remarked, "Second only to Superman himself, the question of who will play Lois Lane is arguably what fans have been most curious about. So we are excited to announce the casting of Amy Adams, one of the most versatile and respected actresses in films today. Amy has the talent to capture all of the qualities we love about Lois: smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious and, of course, beautiful."

Liam Neeson and Luc Besson have come to a meeting of the minds and they have worked out the scheduling snafu that made him iffy for Taken 2. Neeson's reps at CAA are now closing the deal for Neeson to reprise what has become a signature role. Production is now being eyed for year end or beginning of 2012.
