Haze Over Pikes Peak Region Is Residual Smoke From Fires Elsewhere In Colorado

Haze sitting over the Pikes Peak region is residual smoke from two wildfires burning in southwestern Colorado, meteorologists say. The haze should lift throughout the day as temperatures rise and sink during the night, said weather service meteorologist Stephen Hodnaish. The thickness of the cloud also will depend on the strength and the wind direction. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the smoke for parts of southwest Colorado.
