Florida Atlantic University’s faculty are asking that Interim President Stacy Volnick stay on as permanent leader, hoping to end months of controversy and instability that have clouded a presidential search. If the FAU Board of Trustees accepts the recommendation that came Monday from the university’s Faculty Senate, and the State University System Board of Governors confirms, Volnick would be given a three-year contract.
