It’s always a downer watching the final seconds tick away in a Miami Dolphins season, as they did again Sunday, the big hope of summer ending in the three … two … one … of another Groundhog Year of nothing. That empty feeling felt magnified Sunday. It wasn’t just the too-lifeless loss to the New York Jets (5-12), considering the Dolphins (8-9) were eliminated from the playoffs by Denver’s win anyhow.
