- Widget Issues Since Windows 11 24H2 Update - Microsoft CommunityScroll down to "Open Widgets board on hover" and flip the switch to OFF. Now, when you start your computer, the panel will no longer fly out by itself and within a couple of seconds into startup the black frame around the icon in the taskbar will disappear and the weather icon will replace the generic icon.
