Updated 11:06 p.m., Sunday, April 8, 2012 Nearly 30,000 plastic eggs landed in the no-man's-land between two crowds of basket-wielding children while a helicopter roared overhead, dumping thousands more eggs onto the grass. Ten seconds later, an air horn sounded and 3-year-old Bella Henry entered the field with her father, Chris Henry, in Champion Life Centre's second egg hunt of the day. The goal of events like this, said Children's Pastor Stephanie Day, is to attract new people to the church and make them want to return.
