Three Effingham County men are learning that hard work and perseverance are vital in turning a good idea into a successful business.Minis Hillis came up with the idea for a tree stand that circles a tree, allowing hunters to quietly watch for prey from every direction. With the help of his neighbor, Dennis Kessler, also an avid hunter, and a friend — Kevin Diaz — he took that idea and started 360 Treestands.Hillis got a structural engineer to help him build a cardboard mock-up of the tree stand, which is shaped like an octagon.
