ATLANTA — Another 4,100 acres along the Altamaha River will be set aside for public hunting, fishing and safeguarding gopher tortoises and longleaf pines while the Marine Corps keeps out tall structures that could hinder use of its East Coast practice bombing range. The Georgia Board of Natural Resources votes next week to pay $3.8 million for the land at a discount from The Nature Conservancy of Georgia.
