KINGSPORT — Sullivan North High School senior Montana Hite is ready to join the ranks of females in information technology careers, a demographic Microsoft Corp. and Eastman Chemical Co. are trying to grow in the region. “Diversity is really important in today’s workforce,” said Karen Chastain, Eastman IT senior manager. Hite was among 43 female students from local high schools at the sixth DigiGirlz event, held Friday at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education.
