Republican Sen. Marco Rubio dropped by Southeastern University in Lakeland Saturday to give thanks to his many supporters who spent the morning knocking on doors and encouraging people to vote. "Together, we are going to win this election," he said to a large group of eager people. Rubio, who originally was not going to seek reelection to the Senate after running a failed presidential campaign, is currently leading in the Florida U.S. Senate race by a close call, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday.
