Bridge players find connection

Brenda Olsen has an addiction, and luckily for her, she isn’t alone. Olsen is addicted to bridge, and twice a week she meets other “addicts” of the card game at the Emerald Bridge Club to satisfy her craving. “I call myself a bridge junkie,” Olsen said.

 

Serious on comics

James Franco isn’t a superhero, but for a growing number of Springfield comic fans, he is a hero. Franco’s intimate knowledge of the superhero pantheon almost makes him a personal friend to true superheroes such as Batwoman, The Thing and Captain Marvel. Incidents FRIDAY, JULY 12 Robbery: 8:16 p.m., 51st and Main streets. A caller said he saw a man and a woman walking down the street with his wallet, which he had left behind at a market. The woman returned the wallet, but money and a cell phone were missing.
