Urbana High student gets probation for bringing ammo to school

The 15-year-old was arrested May 13 at the high school after Urbana police were alerted that there a threat involving a gun had allegedly been made to a student at another school via social media.

URBANA — An Urbana High School student who admitted he had ammunition at school has been sentenced to two years of probation.

Danville police investigate string of shootings

Two men, one woman received non-life-threatening gunshot wounds

DANVILLE — Danville police are investigating a spate of shootings in the past three days, which sent three people to the hospital.
Commander Josh Webb said officers were first called to the area of Williams and Elm streets around 2:20 a.m. Sunday for a report of a man with a gunshot wound.
