Danville school board OKs visitor-ID systems for high school, North Ridge

The costs for the Raptor Visitor Identification System include an initial fee of $2,409 per building, an annual subscription fee of $540 per building and $50 for four rolls of 300 badges, or the labels that visitors wear.

DANVILLE — The Danville school district will roll out a new security system for visitors at two of its largest buildings this fall.

 

Local CW affiliate blacked out on DirecTV because of contract dispute

Decatur-based WBUI-TV confirmed the station was no longer being carried on AT&T-owned DirecTV as of 7 p.m. Thursday, as the result of an impasse in negotiations between the station's owner and AT&T.

UPDATE: Arrested in Urbana, 2 men charged with killing mother in Chicago

Sgt. Dave Griffet said one of the men had been under investigation by his unit for about two weeks for alleged drug sales in Urbana.

URBANA — Champaign County Street Crimes Task Force officers arrested two men in Urbana on Tuesday afternoon for fatally shooting a woman as she held her baby daughter on a Chicago street that morning.

 

Robinson, Patterson selected for Danville hoops jobs

Robinson is a 1995 Danville graduate who led Pontiac’s boys’ program the last two seasons, collecting a 34-26 record in that time.

St. Joseph-Ogden's Bailey Dowling today was named 2018-19 Gatorade Illinois Softball Player of the Year.
