The Rev. Tom Ries of Burnsville has been named president of Concordia University in St. Paul, the school announced Wednesday. Ries replaces The Rev. Robert Holst, who is retiring after 20 years as president of the university, which is affiliated with the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
