A man was fatally shot by police Monday night after exiting his home with a weapon and approaching officers, according to the Littleton Police Department. Police responded to a call about a possible suicide in progress near West Kettle Avenue and South Datura Circle around 5:47 p.m., department officials said in a post on X. Officers were “confronted” by a man in his 50s after he exited his home and approached them with a weapon, according to Littleton police.

In the middle of last season, with the Colorado Buffaloes struggling to find playmakers at linebacker, Trevor Woods got the start at that spot. A safety throughout his high school and college career to that point, Woods weighed 198 pounds the first time he played linebacker last October. On Monday, the senior weighed in at 217. “I’ve gotten a lot bigger and a lot stronger,” he said after the Buffs’ first practice of preseason camp. Now fully converted to linebacker, Woods is aiming for a starting role and to make a significant impact at his new spot. “I feel a lot more comfortable (at linebacker),” said Woods, who said he had two interceptions during Monday’s practice.
