In the middle of last season, with the Colorado Buffaloes struggling to find playmakers at linebacker, Trevor Woods got the start at that spot. A safety throughout his high school and college career to that point, Woods weighed 198 pounds the first time he played linebacker last October. On Monday, the senior weighed in at 217. “I’ve gotten a lot bigger and a lot stronger,” he said after the Buffs’ first practice of preseason camp. Now fully converted to linebacker, Woods is aiming for a starting role and to make a significant impact at his new spot. “I feel a lot more comfortable (at linebacker),” said Woods, who said he had two interceptions during Monday’s practice.
