ROGERSVILLE — A Hawkins County man who allegedly sent his ex-girlfriend unwanted texts and Facebook posts after an order of protection was signed, as well as posted signs for her outside her home and workplace, was charged with two counts of stalking last week in a private prosecution warrant. Calvin Lance Mauk, 44, 330 Williams St., Surgoinsville, was also charged with violation of an order of protection, which had been signed in the Hawkins County Circuit Court clerk’s office on July 31. However, the latter charge was dismissed Monday during Mauk’s arraignment in Hawkins County Sessions Court because he hadn’t been served with the order. Mauk picked up a second count of violation or an order of protection last Saturday, however, when he allegedly attempted to call his ex-girlfriend from the Hawkins County Jail. The woman alleged in a private prosecution warrant that Mauk violated the July 31 order of protection by calling, leaving voicemails, calling her place of employment, texting, and posting a statement on Facebook with more than 70 photos of the two of them together.
