CHIBA, Japan — Kingsport’s Cliff Kresge made his trip to Japan one to remember. Kresge, in his first year playing on the PGA Tour Champions circuit, finished tied for 10th at the MasterCard Japan Championship on Sunday at Narita Golf Club. It was the first top-10 finish for Kresge on the 50-and-older tour, and the $60,000 he earned moved him up to 62nd on the Charles Schwab Cup list with $109,938. Kresge shot even-par scores in the first and third rounds.
