I count myself among those who find the autumn antics of these forest denizens to be quite amusing and entertaining. Right about now, the squirrels are consumed with the energetic activities of setting aside a winter store of acorns, pecans and walnuts. A widely held misconception is that the squirrels hide the nuts inside hollow trees.
