A man and boy drowned Friday in the West Branch of the Mattawamkeag River, the Maine Warden Service said. The man was identified as Jamie Main, 49, of the Aroostook County town of Crystal, and the boy as Kobe Berry, 13, of Bangor. Maine game wardens, the Island Falls Fire Department, and Maine State Police responded at 3:30 p.m.
