According to the newly unsealed court filing from Jack Smith's team, Donald Trump laid the groundwork to try to overturn the 2020 election even before he lost, knowingly pushed false claims of voter fraud and “resorted to crimes” in his failed bid to cling to power. It's a beautiful piece of work, piling evidence on top of more evidence that none of this is covered by presidential immunity.

President Biden talks about the impact the dock strike will have on hurricane recovery. Last thing we need on top of that is a man-made disaster, what's going on at the ports. We're getting pushback already, and we're hearing from folks regionally, they're having trouble getting product they need because of the port strike.

As reported, the mayor of Wausau, Wisconsin, Doug Diny, decided to pull a juvenile political stunt by stealing the city's ballot drop box. He held the ballot box ransom for a full week, preventing citizens who use the drop box from voting. Then as the backlash kept building, he surrendered his hostage to the clerk who had the drop box returned to its rightful place, secured to the ground, and open for business.

I’ve been asked why I don’t think this election will be quite the nail-biter being hyped by the media. Part of my answer, of course, is that the nail-biter narrative is being hyped by the media. It’s usually a New York Times poll that triggers the nail-biting. Each poll is announced with great fanfare, in bold headlines, always with links to commentary that ripple through the rest of the media.
