A firm recommended by former Savannah and Chatham County administrative heads is set to present a plan to the City Council on Friday for finding a new city manager, and a vote on whether to approve the search contract may follow, according to officials. During the special meeting, Daytona, Fla.-based Colin Baenzinger & Associates will discuss the methods it would use to find a replacement for outgoing City Manager Stephanie Cutter, said Alderman Van Johnson. After reviewing qualifications, experience and methodology, Johnson said, the firm received the highest score from an evaluation team comprised of former City Manager Michael Brown, former County Manager Russ Abolt, former Assistant City Manager Israel Small and former Assistant County Manager Patrick Monahan. “They’ve all sat in that seat,” he said.
