NWS decreases snowfall totals as nor’easter fizzles

On Friday, the National Weather Service had forecast up to 7 inches of snow for southwest Connecticut, but now says we’ll only get brushed by the storm as it swirls up the East Coast. In its forecast discussion Saturday, the NWS says the low-pressure system will be weaker than earlier forecast models suggested. [...] snowfall amounts which have trended downward are being done gradually, the NWS says. The snow will be over before dawn and roads should just be wet by the time people hit the roads. The biggest snowfall of the season was on Jan.
