A Windham man facing charges of murdering his wife made his initial appearance in court Tuesday morning. Noah Gaston, 33, was arrested Friday for the Jan. 14 shooting of Alicia Gaston at the couple’s 37 Brookhaven Drive home. Gaston has said he mistook his wife for an intruder but an affidavit shows he gave police inconsistent statements. Gaston was ordered held in custody, pending a bail harnish hearing at a date that has not been determined. He said little during the hearing, which was brief, acknowledging only that he understood the charge against him. Alicia Gaston, 34, was shot and killed with a 12-gauge shotgun while the couple’s three children were in the home. Noah Gaston called 911 about 6:15 a.m.
