Two people were arrested in unrelated car burglaries in northeast Colorado Springs this month, police said. Nickolas Carter, 19, and Samantha Blansett, 23, are suspected of burglarizing a motor vehicle, a felony, Colorado Springs police said. If convicted, they could face up to three years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $100,000, police said. Carter was arrested Wednesday after a report of "a suspicious person" attempting to open car doors on the 9000 block of Prominent Peak Heights on the evening of Aug.
