The D.C. Yellow Cab insignia will live on — in black. Ron Linton, the District’s Taxicab Commission chairman, has reversed a staff decision denying the Yellow Cab Co. of D.C.’s bid to install the insignia on its new cars, all of which must be painted in the approved red and gray color scheme. The insignias will have to be black as opposed to the recognizable orange, Linton wrote Thursday in a letter to Roy Spooner, Yellow Cab’s general manager.
