'The Help' is an excellent adaptation of the bestselling novel about an unlikely rebellion in a Southern town in the 1960s among black maids serving white families and one white woman who wants them to tell their life stories. "The Help" is a delicious peppery stew of home-cooked, 1960s Southern-style racism that serves up a soulful dish of what ails us and what heals us.
