Denver home prices rise a 2nd month; year-over-year decline continues

Home prices in metro Denver posted a year-over-year decline in May for the 11th consecutive month, but they rose from the previous month for a second straight month, according to the latest S&P/Case-Shiller Home Prices Index, released Tuesday. The average home price fell 3.3 percent in Denver in the 12 months ending May 2011, while the 20-city composite index -- the average for all 20 cities covered in the report -- dropped 4.5 percent during the same period.
